always wanted an E46 M3. found a black/black 6spd with spartan interior and impulse bought it on eBay.
a couple of years and a lot of mechanical resurrection later, I had a very capable, very comfortable, and very quick BMW.
check out the resurrection thread – rod bearings, cams, followers, bulletproof Vanos, PSS10s, 19″ ZCPs, etc.
then apparently I drove over a black cat; damaged the car 3 times the last two times I drove it. that’s enough; I have other obligations (although these cars are fantastic.)
sold it. and take it today.
